The Miraculous Medal is Our Lady’s medal par excellence, it is the only one that she designed and wanted, appearing in 1830 to Saint Catherine Labouré. Among others, Mother Teresa was a great testimonial of the Medal: she would always carry lots of them with her and would give them out to everyone. When she approached children for a caress, she would take a little medal out of her pocket, kiss it, and then give one to each child along with a sweet! Wherever she went, Blessed Teresa was sure that she had a stock of Medals to give to the people she met. Like Maximilian Kolbe, when she needed a building to open up new homes and she saw one, she too “filled it” with Medals and positive answers soon came flowing in.
